How does angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) know to interact with angiotensin I instead of angiotensinogen?

  1. angiotensinogen is 452 amino acids long. after renin is activated it cleaves the Luecine and Valine bond in the first 12 amino acids. this leaves you with a 10 amino acid peptide. which then ACE interacts with angiotensin 1 one by removing the HIS and Leu amino acids at the end of the ten-amino acid peptide. It cannot interact with angiotensinogen because i’m guessing its too big.
